本 系 历 史

    深圳大学中文系是深圳大学文学院辖下的主要教学、研究单位之一。

　　经历十七年发展，已具备相当水平的师资配备、设施规模、教研组织和学术成果。

　　目前该系已有老中青结合，以中青年为主要骨干的教学科研队伍，包括博士导师1名，硕士生导师4名，半数以上教师具高级职称（教授、副教授），绝大部分教师有硕士以上学历，其中有九人具博士学位，分别在中国文学、文艺理论、比较文学、法国文学、符号学、语言学及其他研究领域产生了具有全国水平的成果。

　　中文系的教学强调素质与技能并重的原则，一方面高度重视传统综合性大学的专业基本知识的传授，另一方面也利用深圳经济特区地处改革开放前沿的地理优势，适当面对当 代社会发展提出的新问题和新趋势，努力培养既适应时代要求，又具有深厚人文精神素养和学术基础的高质量人才。

　　在课程设置和教学方法上，中文系强调严格要求，科学管理，学分考核和创造性思维相结合的创新性建构。

　　近年随着多种技术手段的引入，正越来越多地采用革新了的课堂教学和多媒体结合的手段，并通过各学年和毕业前的社会实习和城乡社会调研，使学生顺利融入社会工作，成为有自信，有能力，有贡献的人才。

　　中文系的学生生活管理完善，有完整的党、团、学生会组织，保证在学学生的合法权益，生活质量和健康成长。

Introduction to the Department of Chinese

The Department of Chinese, one of the chief teaching and research units under the College of Arts, Shenzhen University, has undergone 17 years' development. This College boasts its teaching staff, sizes of educational facilities, teaching and research organizations and academic achievements.
Currently, the Department has possession of a contingent of teachers and researchers featured by their three-in-one combination of the old, the middle-aged and the young, with the young and the middle-aged as the backbone, including one doctorate supervisor and four masterate supervisors. Over half of the staff have received their professorships (full and associate) and the majorrty of them have obtained their masters' degrees and above, nine of who have got their Ph. D degrees. The professionals in the College have yielded academic products of national standard in such fields as Chinese literature, theories of literature and art, comparative literature, French Literature, semiotics, linguistics and other fields of research.
The Department of Chinese, adhering to the principle of placing equal stress on knowledge and skills, attaches great importance to the impartation of conventional professional knowledge of a traditional university on the one hand and on the other, in line with the geographic advantages the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone enjoys as it stands at the forward position of the economic reform and opening to the outside world, pays proper attention to the new problems and trends, which the contemporary society is faced with so as to bring up such high-standard talent that are accommodated to the needs of the times and have owned profound humanistic quality and laid a solid academic foundation.
In terms of the syllabus designing and teaching methods, the Department emphasizes its creative structuring characterized by its strict demands, scientific management and the integration of credit check-out and creative thinking. In recent years, along with the introduction of many technical devices, more and more innovative class teaching approaches have been adopted, blended with multi-media. Moreover, the Department has also made the students conduct social practice as well as investigation and research both in cities and the countryside in each academic year, especially prior to their graduation. As a result, the Department has succeeded in enabling the students to move up to the working world and constitute a galaxy of self-confident and contributive talent in society.
In the Department of Chinese, the Students Union, the Youth League and the Communist Party organizations exist to better student life by providing a wide range of services for our students in a lively environment so as to guarantee the students' rights and interests, life quality and healthy growth.
